I'm a Bus Driver. Many of my friends are from Ukraine, Poland, Eastern Europe. I've read East West street, fantastic book. The escape and lack of prosecution of war criminals in other books. The assets of the slave and forced labour. At present I'm reading about the Nuremberg Trials. This discussion is extremely important as how would someone like me understand concept of crimes against humanity. With my ill informed concept of recent history, in the light of the complexities of modern international relations, and informed decision making in the present. I'm very grateful thank you very much.

I wish all Genocides had a single museum and an internet museum, where the main genocide to be be exposed would obviously the Jewish Holocaust , but also Namibia, Rwanda, Armenians-Greek-Assirians, Holodomor, Bengal... these are genocides that were planned. Transamerican Slave trade, but also Arab slave trade. This would have to try and put everything in historical context but with a great sign such as: "One can try to explain, but never justify"... or "The End never Justifiy The Means". History can be blur... but some actions are always evil.

All these horrors that the Jewish communities were subjected to in Europe, described by the Zionist panelists, are a mirror reflection of the fate that the Zionists inflicted on the indigenous inhabitants of Palestine, often the real carriers of the genes that the Jewish occupiers value so highly and which they often do not possess themselves.

I disagree with Dalrymple that India was divided into numerous smaller kingdoms and that is why there are no great monuments in India matching the scale of the monuments in SE Asia. Besides the Mauryas, Guptas & Mughals we also had the Kushan empire. In the very period when Hiuen Tsang supposedly mentioned the 69 kingdoms of India, much of North India was ruled by Harsha in whose court the Chinese pilgrim paid a visit. Moreover, Harsha had to contend with a South Indian emperor Pulakeshin who was more than a match for Harsha in battle. After Harsha, we had the Pratiharas, Rashtrakutas & Palas, and then later the Cholas & Chalukyas, each of which were gargantuan empires in their own right. It is a little absurd to think that without much political unity and therefore political power, Indian Civilization could have exerted such massive influence outside of the Indian subcontinent. It maybe granted that all of India was often not under a single empire but India almost always had large empires. The peculiarity of Indian polity was that a smaller kingdom was allowed to exist and function unhindered as long as it accepted the suzerainty of the imperial power. This certainly was the case during Harsha’s reign and we know that this political doctrine is well laid out in Arthashastra.

I have to take both sides… the Jewish community must listen to outsiders … and yet the Jewish community has been vital in many aspects to progress and pain relief… two examples, Dr Sabin, who changed the life of millions , and yet, sometimes Jewish discrimination to non Jewish happens… I met someone who was dating a Jewish girl, first kiss, and their parents were extremely rude with his parents and with him. Life went on and she married a non Jewish.

A rehashing of the same old tired war propaganda Barbarossa was an 8 nation pre emptive strike against the USSR launched a mere 3 weeks before the Soviet Union invasion of Eastern Europe planned to commence on July 10, 1941. Operation Thunder. Its in the Soviet archives and Brehznev admitted it as well.

I would highlight the point that people who have never made a "big" decision tend to criticise those who make who HAVE TO MAKE a decision and live with the consequences. In Ireland we call these people ' the hurler on the ditch' that is someone who cannot play a sport telling an elite sportsperson how to play the game. The other point I'd like to make is that the terms of Brest-Livotsk did indicate to me the German mind-set to a defeated foe.
